The Art of The Crafty Hoarder

www.thecraftyhoarder.co.uk

Another week has rolled by and another Blog post is on your digital-doorstep. This week, I want to give a brief overview of the available crafts from The Crafty Hoarder.

Often found on a stall at events around the Midlands, The Crafty Hoarder creates, unique, wooden, pieces that are used for display and gifting. From burning custom ideas into reused wood, to making original badges, you can now find her trading through HappyShelfCo's website.

The adorable 'Happy-Cloud Wooden-Shapes'

Up to now, we have badge-sets and Happy-Clouds in the Affiliate Store. It is only when you hold the Happy-Clouds that they shine-out and make beautiful gestures on your display. One sits on the display behind my head, a reminder of the hand-made craft and the freedom of nature.

The Crafty Hoarder will offer more on the site, in time. Looking at her Facebook page will give you an idea of where to find her, should you wish to look further at their items. They often have plaques, figurines and trinkets for your perusal.

We are all about that happy feeling, and what I do know is that a creation from the likes of Crafty, are a gem, and always worth showing-off.

A Badge-Set

Be sure to check back at the site, often. New items are being added, with new Affiliates joining us, too. Take a look at The Crafty Hoarder, you will not be disappointed.

The Vidi-Podcast will come in due course, the website has been the cause for my workload and I want it to be right, first.

Be happy and start getting those shrines up. HappyShelfCo's new shelving system is in the design phase, as I type this! Watch this space.

Big loves!

The Affiliates are growing!

They are not 'actually' growing, but in numbers, yes! With three officially on-board, and at least two more in the pipeline, HappyShelfCo. and its message, is growing, too.

I thought, for this week, I would share this 'pinned' info-graphic. It will be great to see this grow, making it a long list of individual crafters and artist that will help us spread the 'Happiness' message. It's all about being a part of the fight to keep mental-health on track, and, as-best-as possible, understood.

Let's fight it, together... Next week, we will look at Crafty Hoarder and what they have to bring into our lives. I might even share the sign that they made for my office-door.

Until next time, be happy, stay safe.

The Affiliates - Mumble Makes

HappyShelfCo. is keen to supply the artistic prowess of other individuals, alongside Mumble Makes, will come the spoils of others.

For now, I thought I would share a social-media post from earlier in the week. Mumble Makes is a talented crafter with customisation in mind. Ordering is simple, head to the Affiliates page at the website, and order a chosen model, then let her know what style you would like. Key offerings come in: colours, shape, size, topic etc.

Having an item personalised is a nice touch, handing a strictly unique element to your already beautiful space, is available, right now.

These models are made from polymer-clay, varnished and tenderly placed into their packaging. Aside from these are her magnificent paper-cuts; they will be added to the site in due-course. New to the market is that of her covered crochet hooks. Check out her Facebook page, and make sure you go back often with the website.

Happy times, happy shrines.

Get-a-Grip - The art of not caring...

It has been quiet this past week, nursing a poorly back and adding new items to the website have been most of its activities. The site is developing and in need of my new range of modular-shelving. There will be more about this when I get hold of my prototype, so, stay tuned for that.

This post is all about caring (in some ways, it's about NOT caring, too.) Being happy can be difficult, and the whole aim of HappyShelfCo. is to develop ways of achieving it, everywhere! We are harassed all day long, looking at Social Media and even listening to critique from people round us, but, we are blessed with our happy-spaces.

My idea is based around the fact that many people don't care about other people's problems, and short of professional help, we need to step back and hug ourselves. Those friends that stay close are a gem to behold, and are great for those 'comforting' needs. Others are quite simply baggage, sadly. There is nothing worse than the title message, 'Get over it!'. It can often be heard by some of the people that are closest to you, it's a sad fact that can take its toll on that already-dwindling mental-health.

I implore anybody that is suffering to seek advice and create a happy-place. My biggest tip is to look for the 'silver-lining'. Everything has one! Sometimes it can be the only thing that keeps us on track. I say this with the upmost respect for anyone who has suffered and is fighting it successfully. I will discuss my story in course and offer it as a signpost for you, should you need it.

Don't be afraid, and be proud when you fight those demons, you're stronger than you give yourself credit for and I badly want you to succeed. I use the word 'succeed' quite liberally here, it is meant as a statement, not a goal. Success is in your own eyes, what is a success to one, is likely to be the worst thing for another. Take your own success, and use it to grow, not end!

As for getting over it, it is never a point that should be made, if you are the person that says this, wake up, we are battling all of the time and don't need you to take a quick stab, too.

So, HAPPY is important! Relish the space; relish the 'feel'. Look out for this in new listings, 'feeling' is an important part of being happy, holding an item can mean the difference in how you are. An example is that moment on the beech when feeling the sand on your feet changes the day, altogether.

Just a quick one today, it was a rant, really. What do you think? Sometimes we need to air these issues, and being a part of HappyShelfCo. drives my need to help and offer a smile when there is nothing else left. Be happy, stay interesting.

The final word for today: DON'T 'GET OVER IT', GROW INSTEAD!
